    um sorry if this is a stupid question… what will be the diff between the mp4 and mkv version? mkv is softsubbed?

  2. MP4 is hard-encoded. MKV is soft.

  3. Ai

    GREAT!!!!!!

  4. ichi

    ok thanks i’ll get thw mp4 then…

  5. Yay. Stream available o:

  6. MKV version is being worked on.
    It’ll be softsubbed and only be released in MKV format.
    MP4 was just a test to see if the subs looked ok hardcoded.
    It seems it isn’t looking that great, so softsubbed it is.

  7. Karloni

    woooo! thank you for episode one

  8. suiton

    Hey.

    Um. I was a bit skeptical considering that I’ve never seen anything with you guys but after watching the mp4 release of this, I’m satisfied.

    =)

    The best release out there (for now?? hMmm??) Heh.

    Anyway, I’ll be awaiting the mkv release and “collect” that one.

  9. Sarcastic

    Woohoo! Thank you so much for this one Moetaku. Your release offers the best image quality in comparison to all other releases available. Sharp image and bright colors, that’s the way it’s got to be. ^_^ *thumbs up*

  10. Unknown

    Theres a second episode of Sekirei on http://www.animenetworx.net ……………. slow asses..

  11. @Unknown: Yah go watch crap subbed shit. Don’t waste our time here with your shitty comments.

  12. If you have an issue with our “speed,” then by all means feel free to go elsewhere. No need for spamming crappy download sites that try to take credits for subs they themselves don’t do :/

  13. Karloni

    is the mkv gonna be a higher res or just the same but with soft subs?

  14. No highres.
    There is no HighRes for it anyhow, since it’s a SD upscaled.
    When you put your video fullscreen, it will upscale anyhow.

    Subs will be released as softsub so that you still have good looking subs ^^

  15. haha, as stated somewhere else, well I think I said this already, we’ll only do HD if we can get our hands on a legit HD cap… as of the moment, all raws being released are merely station upscales…

  16. Karloni

    alrite thanks for the info and i liked your guys mp4 i’ll stick to it :p

  17. CheVa

    big thx for the release :)

    are you going to continue the release of both mp4 and mkv, or will be the next release mkv only?

  18. powerforfools

    \Fuck you and your mkv shit

  19. powerforfools

    and mp4 shit

  20. axe1rulez

    are you guys going to release a AVI version?

  21. icy

    So what is the best to download? the mkv or the mp4?

  22. MKV will be used only for next releases.
    @powerforfools: stop trying to be a retard… or we’re you born that way ? :)

  23. i would hazard a guess and go with ‘powerforfools’ was concieved that way by parents of the same ilk XD

  24. Sarcastic

    @Power2All

    The MKV version kinda looks less sharp and bright than the MP4 one.
    It’s like as if a greyish veil was put on the picture.

    Is that intended? o_O?

  25. no lol.
    I’ve re-encoded it with same settings as the MP4.
    Maybe without the subs (not hardcoded) it could do more work ^^

  26. icy

    Hi sorry for asking again, are u going release a xvid version of this? Or there will be only mkv versions?

  27. Sarcastic

    @Power2All

    …ah, scrap what I said… I took screenshots of both files with VLC and they look -identical-.

    However, I just noticed that when I open the files in two MPC windows to compare them, since taking screenshots with MPC kinda don’t work, the picture of the file opened first looks brighter and sharper than the one opened second. o__O? *scratches his head*

    Anyways, sorry for the my fault. ^_^;;;

  28. Sarcastic, you can take screenshots in MPC by simply going to File → Save Image… (Ctrl + I). You can also do exact frame comparisons by inputting the frame number, Play → Go To… (Ctrl + G).

  29. Sarcastic

    @Sho

    Could you possibly check this, please?

    http://www.moeotaku.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9149

    Thanks a lot in advance.

  30. @Icy: Only MKV. We don’t want to use for this serie XViD since XViD looks too terrible with the raws there are out. Also, Why do you want to use inferieur AVI against MKV/MP4 ?

  31. Stephan

    @Power2All

    Avi’s look great too on a standard tv set and both my xbox and dvd player can’t handle MKV’s. MP4’s are playable on current-gen consoles but looks like u guys are going for mkv :(. And transcoding is way too buggy.

    I’d rather watch anime on my HD-tv while sitting on the couch than watching it from behind a 17″ screen. That’s why I prefer hardcoded formats :)

  32. suiton

    avi and xvid are now failure containers and codecs..

    for fansubs, it’s about time you move up to the higher quality containers and codecs.

    if your computer can’t handle it, get a new one…
